One Metro transit train smashed into the rear of another at the height of the capital city's Monday evening rush hour, killing at least seven people and injuring scores of others.

Witnesses say train crash sounded like an explosion, & describe the chaos that ensued immediately after one Metro train in Washington, DC slammed into another. With at least 7 killed, local officials are calling it the deadliest accident in the system's history.
